{Audrey: Klein High Senior}

April 13, 2013  •  Leave a Comment

Meet Audrey.  Her mom contacted me several weeks ago about getting some senior portraits, and she mentioned that Audrey is not your typical girly-girl, so she wasn't too keen on the running-in-a-field-picking-flowers kind of portraits.  I immediately suggested that we check out this stretch of abandoned structures that were covered in urban "art" and she was ecstatic.  That was exactly what Audrey was looking for.  And off we went, braving the dilapidated strip-center, complete with half-burnt couches, overgrown weeds, & original "art" on every wall.  It was fabulous!

Audrey, I had a blast hanging out with you & your mom, and I am so excited to see you take on the world next year as you head off to school!

I met Ryan and Amanda through a mutual friend and they asked me to document the sweet memories of their wedding day.  Amanda was such a stunning bride, and we got to take her bridal portraits a couple of months before her big day.  Their love was so evident as they celebrated their marriage vows together with friends and family.  Ryan & Amanda, I was honored to be part of your special day and I wish you the best as you start the next chapter of your story in Chicago together!

This first-look sequence still makes me tear up, every time.  So precious!

Can I just start by saying that these two were probably the most smiling-est couple I have ever worked with!  The whole afternoon they were nothing but laughs and smiles, making my job so easy!  Kelley and I teach crazy 5th graders together, Nick has the heart for the older kids in high school, and they sure do make a cute couple.  Their first little one, Brandon, should be making his debut in early May...

Kelley & Nick, thanks for coming to hanging at the park and laughing with us!  I can't wait to meet little Brandon!

In just a few short weeks, this adorable family will be welcoming a little bundle of joy!  Chris & Crystal were troopers as we braved a field of who-knows-what while the fire department was fighting an evening brush fire just behind us.   We even included Ziggy in the family photos, as he is about to have a little muchkin come and rock his world.  We had so much fun sharing the evening with you two, and we can't wait to meet little Gabriella in just a couple of months!

And since every shoot has its own set of "bloopers"..... I couldn't help but share this one.  It is probably my favorite :)

This growing family is nothing short of adorable, and I am so excited to share a few from our time together!  This time last year, David & Zury were trying to figure out how to manage their family of 5 that had almost doubled overnight.  These sweet twin girls were on the blog last year, and all I can say is that big brother Sammy has his hands full with these two!  Thanks, Phillips family, for braving the cold wind and hanging out with us a few weeks ago!
