{Klein Oak Senior: The Dashing Miss Lizzie}Meet Lizzie- A stunningly sweet young lady that I had the pleasure to spend some time with as she closes the chapter of high school and opens the door into college. We had a great time and even had a chance to meet her sweet pups at home. This little lady is going to be breaking some hearts and taking the world by storm! {The Mason Family}I had the delightful opportunity to spend some time with these sweet parents before little Sonya made her grand entrance into this world and I am so happy for these two as they start their journey as parents. Sonya is just a doll and I am excited to watch her grow up! Here are just a few of our time together before and after baby Sonya's big debut! {Styled: Fresh fruit, Sweet love, & Gentle giants)Shortly before school started, I had the delightful opportunity to work with some beautiful & talented people on a my first ever styled wedding shoot! It was so exciting to see it all come together, and it would not have been possible without all of the hard work that went into it by so many people. We spent the afternoon with the lovely Dougherty couple as they remembered their wedding day and danced around together outside at the stables. In between rain-showers, we prayed for a clearing and the clouds held back for just enough time to shoot some of the wonderful scenes. Our inspiration started with fresh fruit, and the beautiful vibrant colors of peaches, berries & grapes. It was so much fun, and I can't wait to set up another styled shoot! Thank you to all that put time, effort, and hard work into making this happen!

This summer flew by. And I can't believe school has already started again! Our summer was filled with camping, traveling, visiting, celebrating, renovating, adventuring, building, floating, and grilling. We enjoyed every minute, and were so blessed by many moments with sweet friends and family. And so the new school year begins. With the buzz of new school supplies winding down, and my students settling into their new routines and classroom "family," I am finally finding some moments to sit and reflect on some things. I am so grateful for the chance to spend time with young souls and walk through learning together. I am grateful for the parents, who trust me with their pride & joys each day. I am grateful for the smiling faces each morning, and for the hugs goodbye in the afternoon. I am grateful for an entire team of parents, teachers, administrators, and volunteers who work so hard every day to change the lives of the next generation. I am grateful for the gifts that the Lord has given me, to not only be able to share knowledge and discovery with the young souls He created, but also to be able to capture images of His beautiful creation through my lens. I would not be where I am without the encouragement of my loving husband, who has been here for me every step of the way; through every tear, smile, decision, fear, success, and failure. I am also grateful for the support of beautiful women of Christ who speak truth into my life each and every day. I am so encouraged by the women I have met this year in the photography realm, and I am so excited for what the next year will bring. I am so blessed, and although I don't know how to express it sometimes, but I am forever grateful. I have to be honest, I have been avoiding the blogosphere for a while (it's something I'm working on...). But to the best of my ability, I'm coming back! Stay tuned for some beautiful babies, families, and my first ever styled wedding shoot. Until then, have a wonderful week! And go out and hug someone you are grateful for, you never know when it might be just what they need :)
{Newborn baby goodness- sweet Brandon}Ladies & Gentlemen, I introduce to you this handsome little man: Brandon. You met his parents just a few short months ago for their maternity session, when his buns were still in the cute little oven he now calls mama. He not only rocked a serious red bow tie, but he is already a man of many talented facial expressions. Get ready for some serious cuteness... Nick & Kelley, thanks for heating up your home and hanging in there for me. I am so excited to watch this little fella grow up in your arms. You two are such sweet parents, and I know Brandon is blessed beyond measure. :)
